Sunrise over the Wasatch Mountains

One of the things I like about the school I’m teaching at is the view of the Wasatch Mountains when I get there in the morning.  Some days it’s blah, some days it’s good, some days it’s great and then on days like this it’s spectacular.

This so deserves a quote, "Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountains and the sea- are excellent schoolmasters, and teach some of us more than we can ever learn from books." by John Lubbock..this photo is one of those great teachers.....ah yes, and shot by a teacher! Happy New Year Max!

Stunning photo, Max - and in the school context, I'm going to add one of my favourite quotes:

Keep your sense of proportion by regularly, preferably daily, visiting the natural world.
(Catlin Matthews)

Happy 2011!
