Abstract.

It’s Thematic Photographic’s 200th theme, and Carmi picked Abstract for this week.  So, congratulations on your bi-centennial and here are my abstract photographs.  At the bottom you’ll be given a link for explanations of the pictures.

I wanna see the swarming brine fly series! My movie did not turn out. I'd pressed the wrong button, and I only got 2 seconds of it! So disappointed.
In fact, the only good shot I got today was one of the buffalo within buffalo with the lake and causeway. Oh, and the ones of you pointing into the distance were kind of funny. But nothing else was even good.
You got some great stuff today. Well done.
(PS. it's okay to show my legs and feet in the brine flies and to name me.)
Thanks for the trip today!

Hi Max ~~ My favorite is the piece of wood. I was hoping that it might have been petrified.
They are all good, the buffalo is next finest for me.

Lisa - there ya go, I just posted it.
Jim - sorry, I don't think it was petrified, but I'm glad you liked the pictures.

Good selection! I like the top one, and the buffalo and rock below it are cool.
Looks like you guys had a really nice day out!

Max these are fantastic! Your one day trip far more lovely and amazingly awesome then our last week....rain and rain and storms (luckily our place was okay) but not so much for many others....You just never know what will happen sometimes...

Karen - Thanks. Hey, you could send us some of your rain if you want. We've gone about a month without even a drop, the wildfire hazard is so bad they are considering banning all fireworks this summer.

It rained for almost the whole month while I was in Michigan and it's still raining now.
Loved these shots Max especially as you fooled me with the 2 inch sufing waves,

Ahh, more rain and none of it here in the Utah desert.
I was hoping that those shots of the waves made them look like real surfin' waves. Thanks for letting me know I was successful.

That picture of the city skyline in the distance is unreal. Really shows how distance and perspective can play games with the mind.

Okay, they're all unreal, each for unique reasons. Which is how you roll, I know, but still...I love how you take themes and make them your own. Here's to another 200, and...

Carmi - I plan to be around for that next 200, and more.
And thanks, I'm kinda proud of the skyline picture, it really makes Salt Lake City look like it's on the coast.
