We had a couple of years of "bagged" milk in grade school, where puncturing just one side of the container was a skill that took some mastering. I bet our teachers complained LOUDLY about those bags. And I don't blame them, as these were in the days when we ate our bagged lunches in our classrooms under teacher supervision, so any spills or messes had to be dealt with by the teacher.

Must have been after my time, I just remember the little cardboard boxes of milk.
Yes, eventually, everyone went back to the small boxes. That's what our cafeteria uses today.
