Gonna be a Stinky Sunday

I just went to the bathroom, flushed the toilet and watched the water flow.

I know.  You’re wondering why I’m blogging about such a mundane, daily and unappealing subject.

Because on Sunday I won’t be able to do that for around 8 hours.

I found this door hanger on my front door this evening.  Well, actually I got two of them, since my house has two front doors.

So tomorrow one of my chores is going to be to fill a bunch of buckets with water.  Because I can’t go 8 hours without going to the bathroom, and in the city they frown on using the bushes, even if they are in the back yard.

Maybe Sunday would be a good day to visit one of your brothers.......

Hmmm, good idea.

Lisa's idea sounds good. Wonder if it's a wide spread area, or just your neighborhood? Odd in a way they pick Sunday to shut things down, when normally most people are at work during a week day and not bothered by it. Unless it's like all of your city....maybe it's a secret mission by the city to get people out of town to visit other people or places..or? I'm sure there's a real reason. Good luck with your day! Even though you look water ready!

Karen, I made the same comment to my dad in telling him about Max's predicament, but Dad immediately said that they must be digging up the street and needed the day of least traffic to replace whatever they were replacing. Max does live on a major street, so I bet that's the reason for the waterless Sunday.

I think it's just my neighborhood, nobody else I know, other than immediate neighbors, got the notice.

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the new building in the area, probable that 160-bed dorm Westminster College is putting in right next to the Chevron. And I didn't think about the street-tearing up angle, but I'll bet that's right. Having my street closed on a weekday or even a Saturday, would be a major inconvenience for a lot of drivers.
I think I'll go for a walk and see what's up.
