They’re building a new dormitory for Westminster College right next door to “my” Chevron. It’s been going on since April of this year and we’re just beginning to see the end of destruction and beginning of actual construction.
One of the reasons Architects on these kinds of projects get paid the big bucks is because, as the title says, it’s all in the details. So, here are some construction details.

It sure is! Just amazing photos...and nobody kicked you out of there for snapping photos? Or were they gone for the day? Once it's complete it should open up a whole lot of new customers at any rate, don't you think?

Lisa - The top shot is kind of a mini sky-scraper, it's the metal rebar for what I think is going to be a post in the underground parking.
Alexia - Thanks. I've really liked watching the development of things over there, so of course I have to keep photos of it.
Karen - I took all the photos from outside the fence surrounding the construction, so I didn't even have to sneak in. And I think you're right, it's gonna bring in a lot more customers.
Limar - Construction sites are fascinating, especially when I get to watch it from beginning to end. To see the finished building and know that I know how it was built.
I don’t usually take much notice of constructions sites, as they are too noisy and dusty and I just want to get out, so thanks for focussing on the details for us.
Looks like thereis going to be a lot of concrete pouring there later! But they are interesting shots!
I was hooked from the beginning, but especially at the end.
What I love about construction sites is the shoot-now-or-lose-it-forever-ness of it all. The scene will be in its current state for a blink before it gets built over. Soon, it'll be a finished building that'll probably outlast us all. Capturing things at this stage is like filling a time capsule. Awesome choice for the theme!
