Colonoscopy

Well, I finally made the appointment.  A year late, but I just wanted to wait until I was out of school so I wouldn’t have to use 2 sick days.  I’ve heard the preparation the day before is a lot of fun.  Gotta stay home, close to the toilet.

I kinda feel like Cartman in the first episode of South Park.  If I show up and anyone in the office looks like that guy on the left, I’m leaving.

Thanks. Fortunately it's just the routine over 50 thing, so I'm not expecting anything bad. (Knock on wood, keep fingers crossed).

Yes, Max, but at least you don't have to do a mammogram as well. Those are just tons of fun, I assure you.
Nevertheless, good luck on this.
My mom says they're lots easier than they used to be a couple of decades ago. She said her last one was no big deal, whereas, in the past they were very painful.

I'm not sure that this was information the world was looking for, but I hope it all comes out ok. (yes, I meant it to be a pun).

ET - It's not the actual procedure that one needs to endure, I'll be knocked out for that. It's the two days before prep that is uncomfortable.
Mr. - Nice pun, and the world may not want to know, but what the heck, they don't have to read about it.

Yes, in the old days, you weren't knocked out for it, according to Mom. That's why she says it's a lot easier now.
Anyway, good luck with all the prep.

And very well done on going and having the checkup. Someone I loved very much would probably be alive today if he had had a simple colonoscopy done after turning 50!

Alexia - Sorry about your loved one. We had a local celebrity here in Utah who died of colon cancer and his family do some touching public service commercials about it. Made it hard for me to forget about it, which is a good thing.

Good Job Max on making the appointment. I had mine done this year. The prep is uncomfortable but the procedure is a breeze. I'm trying to get my wife to go but she is more stubborn than most. May the flush be with you!
