Guess what it is..

I took this picture during the last week of school. It's been cropped, so you're not seeing the whole thing, but the object is to guess what it is.

Sorry, Nothing came to mind.

It looks organic -- except for the yellow dust, which reminds me of chalk dust, and for the letter M in the left corner.....
Uh, is this what you found when you moved a bookcase away from the wall in your classroom? Dust, spider nests, chalk, someone's tooth, and part of an ancient bulletin board display?

Ohh, close Writer. It is organic. It was found in the back somewhere. But... the yellow is not chalk dust and the M is not an M.

So, you've been growing penicillin in your fridge?

Okay, the thing which is not an M doesn't look as organic as the rest of it; it looks die-cut.

Well, between the two guesses you got it right. It was the foods teacher growing penicillin in the fridge at school. It used to be macaroni and cheese salad, the M is actually a rotini macaroni. You can see the full picture here:

Good guessing!

Interesting, I never would have guessed the correct answer.

I never promised you a rose garden, Writer. Yeah, it is kinda EW! The foods teacher is still debating on whether or not to leave it for whomever eventually buys the building..... Just kidding. But it would be funny.

That M still doesn't look like pasta. It looks like a machine cut piece of metal.

I promise it's pasta. I ate some of it before it got so, uh, interesting.
