Fun with quizzes

I don't put a lot of stock in those interenet quizzes, but I still find them fun to take and see what results I get.  So, when Jannx listed a few on his blog I took them, and then a few more random ones.  Don't worry, I won't be offended if you find them boring and just skip this post.  Hell, I won't even know if you do.  Enjoy, or not.  The choice is yours.

I'm in a bit of a rush this morning, so I just took two quizzes. (I skipped the spelling and grammar ones cuz i done allready no im gud wif that kinda stuff.)
The spouse quiz put me at 60%, just like you. I'll have to go back and answer it for how I would've when I was married. I know for sure I would've checked more boxes than I did today. (That's what being single for years does to you.)

Here's the smoothie thing for me:
You are indulgent and a bit hedonistic. You crave luxury in all aspects of your life.
You are passionate and even a bit temperamental. You have strong emotions.

You are fiery and expressive. You don't hide what you feel, even if people may not want to know it.
You are charming and a natural entertainer. People are drawn to your charisma.

I like it. :)

Okay, I did the manners one, and I got this:
You Have Good Manners 92% of the Time
You manners are perfect. You always carry yourself with class.
You know how to be considerate toward everyone - even if they aren't considerate to you.

But the problem is, they didn't have any questions about how I respond to idiots on the road or psycho parents who've gone postal or to my %^$#@ neighbors or to mouthy kids. Otherwise, I doubt I would've scored quite so high, eh? :)

Hello Max. Yep, I agree. I also don't put too much stock in the quizzes, especially when more often than not, there are situations(or questions) that don't apply to me. However, like you I think they are (sometimes) interesting to do.

One of the things I noticed (with taking several of the quizzes) is that it does create a kind of overall "character" picture that's probably true...for the most part.

Wow Paperback, it sounds like you're living here in NYC.

Jannx - I agree, it's like with most anything; the more data you get the more accurate it becomes. If you take enough of these personality tests, you should see common threads throughout the results. The specifics may be inaccurate, but those common threads are probably pretty good indicators of your personality.
At least, that's my opinion.

P.S. - That's also assuming the questions are answered honestly and accurately.

What? You didn't post my comments about your eccentricity? Humph! I am SO offended. (Actually, I'm curious. Why'd I get censored?)

Jannxx, yeah, I think I could do the NYC thing because, from what I've heard, most folks there have the manners of junior high school students. I'd feel right at home.

Okay, I took about 5 more quizzes, and I won't bore you with the results, but here's a really random one:

Your Blog Should Be Green
Your blog is smart and thoughtful - not a lot of fluff.
You enjoy a good discussion, especially if it involves picking apart ideas.
However, you tend to get easily annoyed by any thoughtless comments in your blog.

So, how does all that connect to green???
(If you want to take the blog color quiz, look under "writing" and then click on "what color should your blog be?"

I agree with your assessment of the quizzes. And yes, I also agree that if the responder is being truthful, then a general character description is created. As for me, I do answer truthfully to the best of my ability. I don't see a point in lying. If you don't want to know the honest answer to a quiz then that person really should not do the quiz. I skipped the quizzes I knew the answers to (or wasn't interested in knowing the answer).

Obviously(to me), if a person is going to lie, then they can get the quiz to say anything.

Jannx - I agree, it's beyond me why anyone would take those quizzes and not be completely truthful. It's not like anyone is going to see them or they are for a job interview or anything.
Writer - you didn't get censored, you just posted that comment on "It's about time." I figured it was accidental, but I have no idea how to switch it over to this thread, so there it stays. But I will copy it in this post for everyone to see:

I could've told you the grammar and spelling stuff, but I didn't want to make you paranoid. (English teachers tend to make people paranoid.)
Banana smootie -- you are mild? I don't think so.
I like the mustard thing -- you are beyond quirky. Oh yes. And the midnight thing -- you're eccentric. very funny.
You'd be a good spouse 60% of the time, eh? Does that mean you're only using 40% of your spousal capacity right now? Or does that mean you'd need to live alone approximately 21 weeks out of every year?
very funny. I'll take some of the quizzes later and let you know how I compare.

Well, I get the awareness award for the day.
Duh!
Sorry about that.

And thanks for the entertainment today. :)

No apology necessary, it happens. (Not that it would EVER happen to ME!)
Yeah, right.

So I think it is safe to say that your manners score would be higher if you knew how to peel an orange correctly. lol

As weird as this may seem, they did not ask any questions about peeling oranges. I may not do it "right" but I do get the job done.
