- Holy crap. Only 2 days left. I went out today and bought all the crap for Psychology class for helping us move the old computers. We're going to be watching "A Beautiful Mind" and I promised them I'd bring the treats. Tyler, who works at a movie theatre, already brought a full trash bag of left over popcorn. Not the freshest, but it's free and there is a lot of it.
- Watched them sledding down the hill at Sugarhouse park today. With my camera, of course. I discovered that for the most part, watching is pretty boring. Except for three things : 1) big groups going downhill together, 2) snowboarders (usually inexperienced ones who fall) and 3) jumps. Got some really good pictures of kids going over the jump, like the picture above.
- Bought Stargate SG1, seasons 6 & 7. Finished up on CSI season 7 and Roseanne season 8. Went down to get CSI season 6, since I have 1 through 5 & 7 but not 6, but they didn't have it. So I ordered it from Columbia House.

Yep. Two more days left. I really needed the break. I just wished I had been more (much more) productive. To be honest, a part of me (a small part) is ready to go back.
Sweet, sweet Rossi; going to start looking like a creepy man taking pictures of teenagers if you aren't careful! ;) You know I'm just looking out for you. I don't think making the news for creepiness is a good thing; saving a student in the line of fire, yes, but taking photos of them, no :)
Jannx - as hard as it is for non-teachers to understand, having nothing to do for long periods of time gets really boring. I too, am kind of looking forward to getting back to school. Kind of a mixed feeling of wanting just a couple more days and looking forward to having a reason to get up out of bed again.
jo - poor, poor, calloused Gibb. I'm not skulking around stalking teenagers fer cryin' out loud. When did watching crowds of people having a blast sliding down a hill in the middle of winter take on such sinster implications?
I'd be more ready to go back if I hadn't spent every spare minute of my time grading essays for the whole vacation! And doing lesson plans. geez.
I have waaaaaay too many preps this year. I'm still stressing over getting caught up.
Hello Max. Thanks for visiting my blog. You and I are in agreement, I am also feeling the need for having a reason for getting up.
There's a reason I'm single, remember! And now I can add to the list, calloused :)
Gibb, you're not being married has nothing to do with any personality flaws, unless you consider being an independent person who does not need to be married at any cost a personality flaw.
Geez, Gibb, at least you're not married for a good reason. I'm not married because I made the mistakes of getting old and chubby-- my ex-husband didn't like either one, and neither do any of the guys I've met since.
Don't complain; being calloused is a good thing if you teach. How else do you deal with obnoxious kids and even more obnoxious parents?
