Sunrise, sunset. And a close up.

This week’s theme is “Cloudspotting” and these are my pictures.

Right before the dawn; Mt. Olympus.  Sunrises are almost always more spectacular with clouds, they way they reflect the sun’s light, the colors they glow.

Same with sunsets.  This one is out over the Sugarhouse area.

I love taking close up pictures of big, fluffy clouds.  It amazes me how solid a collection of water vapor can look.

That collection of "water vapour" looks like a nice soft pillow! Great shots

The sunrise and sunset are great, but I really love the big cotton-y puff!

I like them all. And I think the blue and white is the best... so hard to resist such beautiful clouds!

Impressive sunset over Sugarhouse but the fluffy cloud make you want to float in it.

Mount Olympus is awesome. We get nice sunsets around here sometimes, but the sunrise is usually pretty stark.

I'm totally with you on the clouds-and-sunrises (and sunsets, I suppose) issue: they add an amazing and unpredictable dimension to the proceedings.

I'd frame each one of these, if I could. Stunning. The last one holds special meaning: you've inspired me to give it a shot from here. Stay tuned on that front :)

Carmi - it's fine with me if you want to print these pictures. Enjoy.
