Another post from

Holes worn into the rock by wind, rain and snow.  These were just a short hike from the campground at Arches National Park.

I remember seeing some like that back when I was last out west, Max.

Glad you put the boy there, I was wondering how big the holes were!

Very interest shots Max. I love the color of those red rocks. I saw a few of them in the distance when we drove through parts of the southwest a few years back.

Would have been nice to take the detour to get closer but there are only so many hours in a day when you are on a mission. We had to get to California to see those granddaughters.

We did have an interesting encounter while driving through the salt flats though. Perhaps it's time to revisit those photos?

Rita - you going to tell about your Salt Flats encounter, or keep me in suspense?

I know I've said this before, so forgive me: Mother Nature is the best sculptor ever. What an amazing set of formations. It truly humbles me when I come across anything like this. Wish I could experience the place first-hand.

Carmi - Come to Utah any summer and I'd be happy to show some of them.
