Pairs, gone.

Here is my pair.  I took these pictures on a visit back to my grandparent’s in the mid 80’s, long before we could even imagine the New York skyline without them.  It’s been over a decade now, and somehow the skyline still looks wrong.

Very good take on this theme. Nicely done.

Like Lisa says, fresh perspective - interesting. But also, great shots! Especially the last two.

I like the night ones - a new way of looking at the pair. They were still there the last time I was in New York.
Today I can see them all - yesterday I couldn't! am I the only one who has trouble?
(Today I can't see your Valentine)

Alexia - I think I fixed the problem with the Valentine's day pictures, hopefully you can see them now.

Towering pictures - shame they have gone.

Sigh...what beautiful interpretations of these powerful symbols of achievement and, ultimately, loss. I regret never having had the opportunity to shoot them close-up. I'll just keep coming back to this wonderful series.
