24 out of 48

Man this hot-cold-dry-rainy weather plays havoc with my head.  Woke up Monday feeling like crap, came home from school and was in bed sleeping by 5:00 PM.  Didn’t wake up until the alarm went off at 5:02 AM.  Tuesday was a replay, so in a 48 hour period I got 24 hours of sleep.  Woke up today feeling like crap still, went to a full day meeting on the new 7th grade math curriculum and would love to just go to bed again, but I have to trek out to school to help get a slide show working for the dance concert tonight.  Yeah!  Maybe I’ll feel better tomorrow for the day long meeting on the new 9th grade curriculum (fingers crossed).

I don't envy you those stupid conferences. I've been pitying DP for days now.

Mustang - Thanks. I'm headed off to get only 10 hours of sleep (with the help of NyQuil), and hoping that I feel better tomorrow.
.
Writer - This one actually wasn't all that bad. First of all I got to see DP, which is always good. And I even got a couple really good ideas for my classes next year. I'm just hoping that tomorrow is as good.

Hope you feel better now, Max!

I'm no great fan of professional development courses - especially when it's new curriculum stuff. It's like. "ok, they've been teaching this stuff for a few years now - let's change everything!! yee-haa!"

Alexia - Thanks. The cold has taken it's normal migration from head cold to chest cold, which means I'm on my way to recovery. (Yipee!)

It is quite annoying that they like to change the curriculum every few years, can't they just figure out what's important and stick with it for a while? I don't think the needs of society are changing THAT fast.

Sounds to me like you need a fresh trekking in some unfamiliar location and begin shooting pictures to share (here, with stories, or not)... I also need a vacation far, far away by plane and on the 26th (a week from today) it's happening...I even have an old Ghost Town Book and will be hunting out some paths most people pass by......our days (mine anyway) get tedious without tossing up some newness! How are those darling kitties doing?

Karen - Oh, yes. I'm hoping to get some time out of town this summer. The kittens are doing great, I'll post some recent pictures soon because they are getting huge.

It's so amazing how quickly they grow! We had a kitty taking up residence with my male outdoor cats this past winter, she was so darling....even named her Taffy! My boys loved her! (they didn't even fight with each other when she was around) Amazing how fast she grew...but sadly she didn't learn how to safely cross the busy street...luckily I took some photos of her just a day before the end....

Sorry to hear about Tabby. I've been lucky, I live on a very, very busy street and in the 18 years I've been here, never had a cat hit by a car. I think that is because it is so busy, and only one lane each way, that they don't even get a chance to think about crossing it. Denny and Alan have only been here for 4 or 5 months now, but they already seem to be avoiding the street.
