The hunting instinct is strong in this one, Obi-Wan.

He (Alan) spent about an hour at that window watching the birds in the trees outside it.  Before I got the camera out, he was perched on the chair back, looking like he would pounce right through the window at one of the birds.  I think this one will spend a lot of time outside when I finally introduce the two to it.

Aha - then you too will be the grateful recipient of chewed mice bits, traumatised birds with half their skulls ripped off, mangled baby rabbits etc. Sophie usually leaves such loving gifts on the doormat - but a couple have ended up snuggled under the mohair rug on my bed. Nice!

You will be ready, grasshopper, when you can snatch the pebble from my hand....

Oh wait. Wrong bit of pop culture there.

Ah yes, the hunt is on birdies everywhere, (possibly squirrels?) beware there are two new Kitty Cats living inside of Dodge!

Alexia - Yeah, my last cat brought a live bird in a couple of times. That was fun, when the bird got loose, watching the cat tear up my living room and dining room as it chased it from atop the hutch to the front curtain rod and back, several times. Took 20 minutes for the bird to realize the wide open door meant freedom.
Writer - yeah, but let's face it, Yoda & Skywalker / Master & grasshopper; very similar relationships.
Karen - haven't had many problems with squirrels, but the birds and mice should head to Vegas.
