Cats and politicians

Got this in an email (I used my own picture, mine’s better than theirs was.)

My cat sleeps about 20 hours a day.
He has his food prepared for him. He can eat ….whenever he wants.
His meals are provided at no cost to him.
He visits the Dr. once a year for his checkup, and ….again during the year if any medical needs arise.
For this he pays nothing, and nothing is required of ….him.
He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is ….much larger than he needs, but he is not ….required to do any upkeep.
If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up.
He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep.
He receives these accommodations absolutely free.
He is living like a King, and has absolutely no ….expenses whatsoever.
All of his costs are picked up by others who go out ….and earn a living every day.
I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit ….me like a brick in the head.......

I think my cat is a member of Congress.

Couldn't agree with you more. Our dogs sleep like cats do which is most of the time and my husband calls them 'succesful predators' because whether it is a cat or a dog, wild or domestic; succesful predators sleep alot and don't accomplish much. Maybe this could apply to Congress, too
Johnina ;D

Wouldn't be, if it weren't so true. ;)

For sure they both are! Mind The Cat ....you know....but isn't life just so darn happy with them around! ...and I bet your boys help catching those darn flies...and such! See Max, they DO help out!

Oh yea. just yesterday Alan was chasing a grasshopper around the back yard. And I haven't seen a single sign of a mouse in the house since they moved in. Yeah, unlike politicians, they DO earn their keep.
