Woke up this morning with a wine glass in my hand. Who's wine, what wine, where the hell did I dine?

Ok, so the song doesn't really fit, I didn't consume huge amounts of alcohol last night, although I will admit to the 2 beers I had. I also don't have any of the other symptoms that are generally associated with over drinking. What I did wake up with is an unhappy gastro-intestinal tract. Been laying in bed all morning feeling just shy of having to run to the bathroom. And that's the worst place to be. If you just get it over with, the body feels better and you can start to recuperate. Or you can just get over it. But laying, completely uncomfortable because every time you move your stomach goes into spasms, well, even 3rd Rock from the Sun can't make that fun. This is why I never use any of my sick days - I always get sick in the summer, or over Christmas break. I wonder if they'll accept "I taking a sick day to make up for the day I was sick in July and couldn't use a sick day"?
I think I'll go lay down some more....

Ouch. My sympathies.
I had the migraine from Hades on Monday. My head felt like it was going to explode, I was running a slight fever, my stomach was acting like I'd drunk tap water from Tiajuana, and I was on the verge of tossing the cookies for about 3 hours. I didn't dare take anything for the headache for fear of barfing, and I didn't dare lie down for fear of not making it to the bathroom in time. So I had several hours of misery before I could sleep it off.
Oh, and I have 216 sick days because I almost never take them either. But look at the bright side: at least you don't have to write up lesson plans for a sub.
So, I take it if I invite you out for pizza tonight you're going to turn me down? (just kidding. sorry if it hurt to read that.)

I'm feeling a bit better, but I still think I'm going to pass on teh pizza, grease just doesn't sound as good as it usually does. But the good thing about saving sick days is I could be sick for almost an entire year and not miss a paycheck. I wonder if, when I rack up 180 of them, they'd let me take a full year off for "mental health'?

I've contemplated that myself.....

yeah, well. We should get something for saving them all that money and not wasting all those days for the kids ('cause let's face it, 90% of the time, especially in Math, a sub is a wasted day).

It's no different in an English or Spanish class, my dear man.
I'm glad you're feeling a bit better now. But it sounds like you'd not only better avoid pizza tonight, but maybe the beer as well. Stick with toast and maybe some juice.
Hope it's gone tomorrow.

Thanks. I'm feeling a lot better already, the stomach cramps ended in the early afternoon, so I figure I'll be back to 100% tomorrow.
