This theme is the perfect showcase for my multiple old Ford LTDs.
THE TWOS
Old Blue (1969) and Christine II (1970)
BattleCruiser III (1972) and Old Blue (although I no longer have the BattleCruiser).
Alphonse (1978) and Old Blue (Alphonse is technically a Mercury Marquis, but that’s just a Ford LTD with a Mercury badge on it).

How long does it take you to drive all these cars to location and rearrange them to photograph? Sure, I know the park is near your house, but that's a lot of driving over, parking, walking home, and getting the next car -- then in reverse when you're through with the shoot.
That's a lot of work!
And how did you get that cool overhead shot?
I like the jazzy style you displayed your trusty old Fords!

Great cars, Max. How do/did you afford to run them all or are they just for show?
Lisa - Since it's so close, it takes me about a half hour to get all 4 of them there and another half hour to get them back. I got the overhead shot from a gondola ride at one of the ski resorts, I can't remember which. I drove one of them and my little brother drove the other (no, I'm not crazy enough to walk all the way home from the canyons).
Bob - I have them all registered and insured as Hobby Cars. registration is $10 a year (no emissions or safety inspections either) and insurance is about $11 a month (each). As Hobby Cars, I'm not supposed to drive them except to car shows/meets, and once a month or so to keep everything running. With the 4 of them, and my daily driver, it's easy to keep in those guidelines.
