Rainbows of happiness.....

It's parent-teacher conferences today and we're all in the Home Ec room having a wonderful Chinese dinner before conferences officially start. The librarian and I are 2 guys sitting at a table with 3 women. We pass out the fortune cookies and all the women get fortunes like "perseverance will pay off", "your talents will show in an unexpected way" and another equally blase one. I open up mine and it says "Love is a present that can be given every single day you live" and the librarian gets "Love is sharing rainbows of happiness."

Apparently the fortune teller can't spell. You'd think they'd have some sort of sixth sense to help w/that!

What in the world are you talking about????? Ok, ok, but it wasn't the fortune cookie that lost a p in happiness, that was me. But I fixed it, so now nobody will know I made the mistake....

My best fortune cookie EVER-- and I am NOT making this up --- came right after I'd eaten at the Panda on 1700 South and State. They have an all you can eat szechuan barbecue; I was stuffed. And my fortune cookie said, "Now would be a good time to start a new diet."
No joke. I laughed until I cried.

Now that's irony at it's best! And it must have been thrown in as a joke, or a cruel prank by somebody. After all they had to know that it would be read right after a meal.
