It's officially the first day of fall and yes, I know that spring is the season of love. But it wasn't the beginning of spring that I came home to see this (see picture below) hanging across the street right by my house. Ok, ok, I'll also agree that the sentiment hanging there doesn't really qualify as romantic love, which is the feel of the song my title comes from. Ah, well. It was in the air.

Uh, well, shoes and magic marker on paper hanging on a telephone wire just doesn't have the same feel to it as, say, roses or chocolate or a candlelit dinner.... It's that whole ambience thing....
But hey, let's give this person an A for originality anyway.
And, let me add, that I don't care WHO the messenger is -- not even Johnny Depp or Harrison Ford would win me over with that line.
I think you're being a prude, I've used that line many a time. Hmmm, then again maybe that has something to do with why I've never been married?
Remember the old song "Having My Baby"? I don't know a single woman who isn't totally repulsed by that song.
Wow, shoes dangling from electrical lines isn't just a NYC thing.
It's an incredibly annoying sight. Sorry to say.
How about "Afternoon Delight"?
I'm not quite sure what the thrill of throwing someones shoes over the power lines is, but I've never seen this sentiment before. And it's still there. Right in front of my house. Yeah, gotta love it.
