Leadership

I spent the last two days at an education conference in downtown Salt Lake City.  I’m not going to bore you with all the details, but the keynote speaker showed this video on leadership and making a movement.  I found a lot of good information in it and the more I thought about it the more his message made sense  But I also found it quite amusing.  Enjoy.  And don’t bother watching the last couple minutes, all the good stuff is over when he’s done talking.

P.S. Have you noticed I’ve become a fan of YouTube?

From nutcase to leader..... nice.
The trouble is that it works with genuine nutcases, too. As soon as they get a crowd with them, they qualify as "leaders." Hence we have all these psychos with the teaparty people electing and promoting idiots who claim that evolution is wrong, that women need to stay at home, and probably that poodles are God's chosen method to save the world.
Leadership is scary.

PS. I wish I could figure out how to embed a youtube video in a blogpost. I've fiddled with it like crazy and I still can't get it.

I wish I could tell you.
I use a free program from (Ugh!) Microsoft called Windows Live Writer. I love it, it is a lot more flexible than the Blogger interface.
Now, problem 1. I know you are on a Mac, and I have no idea if they make a Mac version of the program. If you can, and want to, get it for your computer, I would be more than happy to help you.
I looked at the Blogger interface and couldn't find any way to embed a video, I even tried pasting the embedding code directly into the HTML editor. Didn't work. Sorry I was of no help, but if I figure anything out, I'll let you know.

Thanks. Actually, it's a comfort to know that I'm just not being stupid.
If I could figure out how to copy a youtube video onto my iMovie program, then I could easily upload to blogger. Maybe I'll toy with that some more.
