Savor.

This week’s Thematic Photographic is “Savor”, and if you read what I posted right before this, you’ll better understand why I chose this picture.

I am sooo going to savor the next 7 hours curled up on my bed. And that’s where I’m headed right now. G’nite.

Oh yes the feeling is mutal..been a long day.....But will you first straighten out the blankets? Or are you already inside! Enjoy your savouring! LOL

But... you have to make the bed first! ;-)

Hope you enjoyed your sleeeeeeep.

I actually thought about making the bed before the picture but decided to leave it in all it's unkempt glory. I did straighten things out a bit before crawling in and falling asleep in a record 3.2 seconds.

nothing like a comfy bed

I never understood the point in making the bed. First thing I do is rip out all the tucked covers so I can wrap up my feet anyways. Hope you got some rest.

I understand. Very well.

If that's what your bed looks like, then someone needs to call you into "What not to sleep in."
Your house has better style than that, I'm surprised at the lack of style in your bedroom.
As long as it's comfortable, I guess.

Sally - finally! Someone who agrees with me. When I go to a hotel, the first thing I do is unmake the bed, and I do exactly what you said, wrap the blankets all around my feet.

I have my cozy feather bed, which I love. sigh. :)

Writer - 5:02? That way I can hit "snooze" 4 times and get out of bed at 5:30.
And, there is nothing like a nice comfy, warm bed! Ahhh, headed there soon!

A 7-minute snooze alarm then? (See, I can do story problems...) Is that better than setting the alarm at 7:23 and just hitting snooze once?

Max Sartin said...

Writer - you get an A+ on the Ratios and Proportions test!
Why? You ask. I don't wake up fast, never have. And there is something incredibly rewarding about hitting that snooze button, crawling back under the covers and drifting off to sleep for another few minutes. Even if it means I actually get almost a half hour less sleep.

Fair enough.
I set my alarm at 4:00, get up and turn on either the heat or the swamp cooler, depending on the season. I then get back into bed and do my required back and leg stretches for about 30 minutes (with a second alarm set just in case) and get up at 4:30, by which time the house is a decent temperature anyway.

I got tired just reading your schedule, so I can well appreciate how and why you would savour this place and this moment. I hope you got more sleep than you needed, as you certainly deserved it.

For what it's worth, I wouldn't have bothered making the bed before tumbling in. I'd probably have been asleep before my head hit the pillow :)

(Love how you interpreted the theme...very creative!)

Carmi - I did get some good sleep - pretty much did nothing last weekend other than some necessary cleaning and a lot of laying in bed watching Star Trek Voyager. Enjoyable weekend. And I'm going to need another one since I went through the whole thing this week.
