I don't get it.

Think of dodge as a verb.

Oh.
Duh.
I thought it was a car joke.
Gosh, I feel stupid now. It's a pun and I missed it.

That seems to be a problem, I've had a few people I've told that to who weren't expecting a pun, looking for the joke in something automotive.

I even told the joke to my English dept. head, and she didn't get it either until I explained it to her.
Oh, by the way, she wants you (well, "us" -- I least I think I was included in her offer...) to sit with her group at the party on Friday. Since DP is likely to sit there also, I figured you'd probably be fine with that. We know which table will be laughing the loudest in the restaurant...

Sounds like a plan. DP will have to sit with us, I've got to gleam more info on W from her....

Foolish me, I thought you bought a dodge and were running down 8th graders.

Ironic isn't it?

Ha!
She has much to tell. :)
I don't even know W., but I still hear DP glowering about her every now and then. She'll give you an earful, if you want one.
Oh, and the English dept. head wants to know if you want to be the designated driver or the designated drinker, which is a fair point. Do let me know if you'd prefer for me to drive. (I don't care, and I'm not going to be the designated drinker, since I'd probably pass out after one glass of anything, seeing as Nyquil sends me loopy.)

mark - hmmm, I hadn't thought of that.
.
writer - Although it's happened before with DP around, I doubt I'll drink a lot, but it would be nice not to have to worry about it. So, if you'd drive that would be great.

Yup.
I'll call you after school tomorrow to set a time.
