The science teacher showed me this little tidbit on a note she intercepted:
“If I was ugly I wouldn’t want to go to school!”
“Then why are you here today?”
And this was left in the login box when I had the class in the computer lab the other day:

I would've praised both snarky little darlings, but, then, I am the queen of sarcasm and will not hesitate to insult a kid who sets him/herself up for a remark.
Sappy sweetness is for kindergarten teachers.
Of course, I once had a 9GT student who was so "talented" at setting himself up for jokes that we had to make a class rule: only one insult per day directed toward Tyler. True story.
