Why I need to always take my camera with me, even to the Chevron.

I was working at the Chevron last night, which faces right towards Sugarhouse Park.  Somebody was cruising over the neighborhood in one of those little paraglider things – looks like an everglade boat with a parachute over it.  (I thought it might be "Super" Dell Schanze, but then I realized he's spending 10 days in jail for running a cop off the road). I really would have liked to get a picture of it, it was kind of cool circling over the park with it’s big multicolored parachute, but I had left my camera at home.  Well, as I’m sitting there watching it, the moon rises over the Chevron canopy, it gets a couple moon-widths above the canopy and the glider circles over the canopy and heads straight for the moon, passing right in front of it just like ET did, except in broad daylight.
I kicked myself in the butt, that would have made one awesome picture.

Funny. Last night I had this dream in which I really, really wanted my camera, but I didn't have it with me. I can't remember what I wanted to photograph, but I woke up really irritated.

I hate that feeling, you SORT of remember the dream, know whether it was good or bad, but have no idea why. Maybe tonight you'll have the same dream, but this time you'll have your camera with you.

Yeah, if I'd been able to take that darn picture, maybe I'd have remembered the dream.... :)
