At 3:49 this evening another person joined the cast of my life. My niece Jenn gave birth to her and her husband's second child, another daughter. Congratulations. They named her Sage Harper and she came into the world weighing 6lbs & 15oz. According to my older borther (her grandfather) she is awake, eyes open, apare and wondering who all the people hovering over her are.

Sounds like she's healthy. That's good. And, I take it, your niece is healthy as well? that's the most imporant part.
Personally, I'm glad that my oldest of the next generation of tribal members are in no hurry to produce offspring. Since my brother's twins are not yet even 23 years old and just barely finishing up college, I should hope we've got anywhere from 5 to 10 years before there are babies around again in our family.
But enjoy yours-- that whole uncle thing. :)
Yeah, they both seem to be in great health - I'm sure my brother would have said otherwise if there had been problems.
Well, the biggest issue in my family is knowing where one generation ends and the other begins. I have nieces and nephews ranging in age from 31 to 5. The grands range in age from 8 to, well, newborn. Heck, I even have a half-brother that is 22. Which means that one generation has been producing offspring even before the previous generation was done.
Hmmm, come to think of it, that's not all that unusual for Utah.

Well, you know what they say: in most places, it's not uncommon for a bride to be pregnant; in Utah, it's not uncommon for the mother of the bride to be pregnant.
