Hello Max,

I skimmed through the photos. My first reaction was wow, a quiet small town photo log. Then I read Paperback's response, I took another look. Not being from the area, I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking at. I'm a bit slow. Sorry. Now, I have it. The presentation of the photos made me think of how nice and quiet the small town USA must be. With highspeed internet, I don't think I was the only one who skimmed through with a wow, nice photos and moved on. Being from New York, my eyes lingered on the clean streets, and the expensive cars that were not doubled parked. And empty buildings that did not have a carboard home infront. And finally, having spent most of my life walking through blocks and blocks of boarded up, burned out, trash-filled building shells, at first I missed the significance of the empty buildings.

Your audience (like mine) is no longer local. Your reach is far greater than you (your I) can imagine. Sometimes pictures speak for themselves, but other times, they need a few words of support.

However in the end, your message was received. I am sorry to see that your community is feeling the economic down-turn. Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, I am sure a lot of people can relate.

jannx, thanks for the comment, I do sometimes forget that not everyone that reads this has been to Salt Lake City. I added a little commentary to the pictures, hopefully that helps.
I also liked hearing your impressions as you looked at the pictures, the things that you noticed, the comparisons that you made that I cannot having lived here most of my life. Thanks and feel free to remind me to better explain things whenever I forget to.

Jannx,
Sugarhouse is a nice neighborhood. Now, granted, SLC is not NYC, but we do have some OTHER neighborhoods as well.

Hello Max,

Sorry for the delay with my reply. For the last few days, I've been a bit out of the blogging mood. Other things were eating up my time. Thanks for the caption added to your photos. Yes, the caption helped, but I am a bit confused. Originally, I thought your community was a victim of a slowing economy, but according to your caption, your community is about to get a major upgrading.

Paperback, yes, Sugarhouse looks like a very nice neighborhood. I'm sure other neighborhoods in the area are equally nice.

I know how you feel Jannx, some days I just don't feel like writing, some times I just don't have the time and sometimes I don't even have anything to say. That's what I like about blogging, you do it at your own pace.
