As a kid, I spent a lot of time in my grandparent’s house in Brooklyn. Dinner was always a big production, and rarely involved just the family. Even though, with my uncle and aunt, the family only numbered 10, the long dining room table often had close to 20 people sitting around it. Here my grandmother, father and someone I can’t identify are enjoying an after-dinner drink while I sit in the middle taking pictures. (crica 1965 or so)
Another table I spent a lot of time sitting at is our kitchen table at the house in Lexington, Mass. I have no idea what my mom is pointing at, but that’s my little brother in the red shirt and my elementary/junior high best friend in the foreground.
