Carmi, thanks for the huge task. I’ve got over 10,000 pictures to go through from the second half of the year alone. But I do love this theme because, like you said, it gives a lot of leeway. Here’s my first one, I call this one “The Mona Stinger” ‘cause no matter what angle you look at it she’s looking right at you. P.S. – I am going to have fun with this one!

Fantastic shot!
ReplyDeletewhat an AMAZING shot! To catch a bee in flight, so close to its target! The composition is lovely, with the shallow depth of field which compliments the color of the flower and the focal point of the bee!
ReplyDeleteDoes this darling bee have a name? It should...this is beautiful.....better than most books.....I can't wait to see your other favorites! Thanks, Max!
ReplyDeleteNow that's a cool shot. You had to be quick on the trigger to catch it!
ReplyDeleteNice how the bee looks like it's just hanging there....
ReplyDeleteThanks all.
ReplyDeleteGood to see some new faces on here, and of course the usuals also.
Karen - why that's little Mona. Actually, since she's not the queen bee, doesn't that mean that she is most likely a male drone? I dunno, I'm a math teacher, not biology, sheesh!
Maybe so, but I like the name Mona and it fits this bee it a perfect sense of JUST elegant!
ReplyDeleteAwesome shot!
ReplyDeleteHello Max. I like these photos. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest. Sorry, none of my photos are of this quality, so there isn't anything I can contribute.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holiday Max!
Jannx - thanks, and good to hear from you again. I just hope I can keep up the quality.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays to you too!
Truly Gorgeous shot...
