But if you drive to Mich in the Subaru after all the trips last week, you're not going to get a good deal on a trade it because the car will have too many miles on it!
No mastercard, but I have Discover and a debit card. It'll leave me nothing to live on for the rest of the summer, or to make the payments for that matter, but since when have I let fiscal responsibility get in the way of purchasing a car? That goes for the mileage on the Subaru and the $$ I get for trade in. Damn the torpedos, full speed ahead....

On a car side note, Max, one of my neighbors, who frequently comments on my blog as Lotus, e-mailed me about your driving and why I didn't mention being nervous with you on the Shafer Trail. I thought about it for awhile and came up with: the Subaru was not really meant for roads like that. The fact that it was much lower to the ground than a Jeep made it so I was less-likely to see the drop offs. Plus, you had to be much more careful than you would have been in a Jeep, so you had to go even slower than the posted 15 miles and hour a lot of the time. Also, since you love taking pictures, the car was stopped and I was out of it at least every other bend in the road. Low car, slow speed, frequent stops all meant less stress on the nerves. Sorry, that was a bit of a digression, but you usually don't mind when it's about cars.....
I think Red, liker my Mustang was. Maybe with a nice white leather interior. Yeah, I've got $40 grand for a car. No problem. As for the Shafer Trail, I guess that makes the Subaru a better vechicle for the trail than a Jeep. In a way.
Sorry, Max, you can get any color you want as long as it's black (or orange or silver.) Let me call my boss and see if i can get next week off, after all SOME of us actually work through the summer.
Oooh! Red with white leather -- kinda the reverse of your convertible. Nice. Much better than orange. Especially if this is the proverbial Car 54. Hey, as long as it's a fantasy car, you can make it any color you want (but I'm glad you have better taste than to day dream about an orange car). Uh, and I don't have 40 grand for a car either. And it's getter harder to come up with the $45 to fill the tank. (Yesterday I decided to top off the tank as I've got a long drive on Monday. It was $35 for half a tank!!! Before I left for Scotland, I could fill my car with gas for $17. This is sobering indeed. I like "409" much better as the name of a cleaner than the price of gas.)
Danny : Yeah, well, you don't have to deal with 30 teenagers at a time 180 days a year either. But I can't complain this time of year, it's nice getting up at the crack of noon. Writer : No kidding, gas is crazy man. But then again, when I strated driving I though 52.9 a gallon was highway robbery.
