is asking us to explore the brand names that surround, call to and lure us. My first selection comes from the energy drink fad.
At last count, the Chevron I work at carries 15 different varieties of the drink. Ironically, one of them is “relax”, a “calming, herbal blend”.
At first I thought “A relaxing energy drink? What the…?” But then a funny thought came to me:
Yeah, that would be good for the heart.
It wouldn't be all that good for your bladder, either. :)
ReplyDeleteThat your refrigerator at home then?? ;)
ReplyDeleteGood photos - thanks
hehe, this is fun!
ReplyDeleteThis may be funny to watch the process until it all begins to go south! ;)
ReplyDeleteWe haven't hear of Rockstar in the UK but it sounds a recipe for 'p' and wind.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you'd need a dual personality: Jekyll? Hyde?
ReplyDeleteBob - Yeah, don't be sad it hasn't hit the UK. Bunch of caffeine, other stimulants, carbonation and "nutrients". And great flavors the kids love. No wonder half of American kids are on ADHD medicines.
ReplyDelete.
Little Nell - or maybe "Crash and Burn".
I think I'll stick to juice :)
ReplyDeleteI think between the caffeine and sugar, you'd have to peel me off the ceiling. Still, this a delightful view of something we don't see too often here in Canada. For some reason, Red Bull dominates our shelves.
Carmi - Juice sounds better to me too! Or maybe even strong coffee. Red Bull is big here, about as big as Rockstar, but they only have three flavors.
ReplyDeleteIronically, one of them is “relax”, a “calming, herbal blend”.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you need a nice 20 minute version of "The Other One" by the Grateful Dead, Max.
