Tomorrow is (or by the time you see this, it may already be) 11/11/11. Seems that a lot of people are finding it cute to get married on 11/11/11. Even some junior high kids. During a discussion about this in 7th period, in a class of mostly 8th graders, a 7th grade girl blurted out “Anybody want to marry me?”
The class went silent, I looked at her and said “Uh, moving on, we then take the slope and…”
It might be a good day to discuss prime numbers..... :)

My daughter had to get married on 08-08-08...and thank goodness we talked her out of having the ceremony at 8:00... lets see if your student is in 7th grade what cool year could be waiting for her? oops even a math dummy would know I think after 2012 she'll be out of luck! ..moving on..ha ha
