  1. LMAO ... Jonathan is that you?

Gulls are GREAT subjects for photographic comedy with captions. I have a few myself.

  2. Well you know they believe in the clean-plate theory don't you?! Waste not want not...and they will eat anything!!! I'm betting the plastic bowl with fruit (?) will be his/her next tasty treat! Great post on school lunches Max! ;)

  3. Hey, Jonathan! It's me, Fletcher!

    Great shot.

Once, on the island of Iona off the coast of Scotland, I was eating a sandwich (tuna), and a *&^^ seagull dive bombed me and ripped half of it out of my hand. (That sandwich wasn't any better than school lunch.)

  4. I really like this pic, Max - the balance appeals to me, and rusty rails - perfect!

I often walk my dog around the school grounds in the early evening. We have very large grounds which include a horticulture/agriculture unit (kiwifruit and apple orchards, small beef farm) as well as the actual campus, 3 rugby fields plus soccer and hockey pitches, netball, tennis and archery courts, etc etc. It takes FOREVER, as said pooch has to investigate every left-over container, sandwich crust, wrapping paper that he finds. He doesn't actually need dogfood when we get home!

  5. Mustang - Wish I could take credit for that one, but one of my coworkers sent that back to me. I know a lot of people don't like seagulls, but I like taking pictures of them, and we have a lot here in land-locked Utah.

Karen - Thanks. Oddly enough, that was the only one that was around having lunch. You would think with the mess those kids left there would be a bunch. Ah well, at least s/he was well fed.

Writer - I've never had one dive bomb me, but I have had wasps go kamikaze at my forehead. And I was only 8 at the time.

Alexia - Sounds like a nice campus, with some extras that allow the students to get a little more than just the 3 Rs. I had thought about cropping out the rusty railings, but now I'm glad I didn't.
