"Holy war", that's a good one. Granted, I've only been going to church for 2 or 3 years now, but in my short time I have never heard anything promoting killing in the name of God. S'matter of fact, I've got pretty much just the opposite message. I have to admit though, I've never heard of "Liberty Jail". But I have always loved "Congressional Ethics".
Congressional Ethics. Funny!! Liberty Jail is kind of a Mormon thing. Joseph Smith was imprisoned for 6 months in a jail in a town called Liberty. Hence, it was known as Liberty Jail. Apparently, the irony was lost on the townsfolk. Others I like: fresh echoes military intelligence athletic scholarship original copy
Good grief, I've actually met and bought a couple of the king (Richard Lederer of such seriously funny, and genuine imitation never found missing, in Max's blog! This is, almost exactly what I needed this morning! Thanks Writer and Max! BTW do you sell, plastic glasses at the Chevron!!!
The English teacher LOVES it! Bravo!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite oxymorons, however, are "holy war" and "Liberty Jail."
